Insulating glass solutions

Gruppo Bizzotto is a leader in the production of insulating glass and processors of flat glass. Our mission is to provide innovative and high-quality solutions for window manufacturers, suppliers of building materials, and architects. We offer products that guarantee energy efficiency and comfort, enriching every project with the utmost technology and functionality.

Insulating glass, also known as double glazing, is a type of glass made up of two or more panes of glass separated by a layer of air or gas. This intermediate layer serves to enhance the thermal and acoustic insulation of windows, making them ideal for residential and commercial buildings. By using insulating glass in windows, it is possible to drastically reduce thermal loss, thereby improving the energy efficiency of buildings.

1. Insulating Glass Double Glazing (Single Chamber) and Triple Glazing (Double Chamber):

Insulating glass is available in two main configurations: double glazing and triple glazing. Double glazing consists of two panes of glass separated by an air or noble gas-filled cavity, such as argon, which improves insulating properties. Triple glazing adds a third pane of glass and an additional cavity, offering superior thermal insulation.

  • Double Glazing: Ideal for enhancing thermal insulation compared to single glazing, it reduces internal condensation and improves living comfort.
  • Triple Glazing: Offers further reduction in heat loss and improvement in energy efficiency, particularly useful in cold climates and for acoustic insulation.

2. Low-Emissivity Insulating Glass:

Low-emissivity (commonly referred to as Low-E) glass is coated with a thin layer of noble metals that reflect radiant heat, with the primary function of retaining heat indoors. This type of glass is essential for improving the energy efficiency of buildings, especially in reducing the heating demand during winter.

3. Solar Control Insulating Glass:

Solar control glass (commonly referred to as selective) is designed to reduce the ingress of solar heat, enhancing internal comfort during summer months and decreasing the need for air conditioning. This type of glass is particularly suitable for buildings with large glazed surfaces exposed to the sun.

4. Reflective Insulating Glass:

Reflective glass has a metallic coating that reflects a portion of solar light, reducing internal glare and incoming heat. This type of glass is ideal for large façades where light and heat control is critical for internal comfort and energy efficiency.

5. Acoustic Insulating Glass:

Acoustic insulating glass is designed to reduce sound transmission, enhancing internal acoustic comfort. It is ideal for buildings located in noisy areas, such as near busy roads or airports.

6. Insulating Glass with Integrated Venetian Blinds:

Glazing solutions that incorporate solar shading within the insulating cavity, providing effective solar control without the need for external maintenance. These systems protect against solar radiation, reduce summer overheating, and improve the energy efficiency of buildings.
